Pass Plus is a training course for newly qualified drivers, usually taken within two years of passing the driving test. The Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) designed the course with insurance companies and Driving Instructors. The course was introduced to address new drivers’ high accident risk. The course is designed to give newly qualified drivers extra skills or experience in situations they may not have covered in depth while preparing for their driving test, in the case of not covered motorway driving. Pass Plus does not involve a test. It is a course consisting of 6 modules covered over 6 hours. You are taught, assessed by your driving instructor, and marked as ‘achieved the standard’ or ‘exceeded the standard’.

If necessary, extra training will be required to reach the required level.

The Pass Plus course can be structured as 1½, 2, 2½, or 3-hour driver training sessions. We can even organise a full training day and complete the Pass Plus course in one day. Pass Plus Syllabus
